Let the King of glory in

Lift up your heads O ye gates and be ye lift up ye everlasting doors and the King of glory shall come in Psalm 24 verse 7

Psalm 24:7 says, “Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.”

I encourage you to start your day by opening the gates, looking up and letting the King of Glory come into your day!

So what gate is keeping this King of Glory out? Is it the gate of busyness, grumbling, disability or depression, or could it be the gate of unbelief, pride or sin?

How do we let the King of glory in? Step one in Psalm 24 says to lift up your head! Turn your eyes on Jesus and not your problems. Don't tell God you have a big problem. Tell your problem you have a big God! David didn't tell God he had a big giant to face. Not at all! Instead, he told the giant how big and how great his God was.
"Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees; and make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed." —Hebrews 12:12-13
When we lift up our heads and look to Jesus instead of at our circumstances, God will lift our hearts. He will lift that heavy gate of depression or whatever else is dragging you down. Jesus will step inside in all his glory, in all his majesty, and He will take control of that situation you find yourself in.

Open the gates, look up and let the King of Glory come into your day!
